From the beginning

Having recently been diagnosed with Celiac disease, I am on a journey to learn what I can do to support my body's recovery and healthy function.

I love food, and refuse to give up the joy of eating just because my body has an autoimmune response to wheat, barley, rye, similar grains, and products made from refined parts of these grains.

I will utilize this blog to post about my journey - recipes, restaurants, travels, adventures, discoveries, news, frustrations, and successes.

After only two months gluten-free, I am already feeling significantly better. I know it will be a long road to "well," and that it may, at times, be difficult to maintain. But, of all things, what is more important an investment than one's health?
